HOW IS THE JOB CARRIED OUT?
Asbestos is the cause of asbestosis and pleural mesothelioma.
The harmfulness of asbestos fibers depends on the fiber diameter and length. The most dangerous are not long fibers (> 5 microns), but thin ones (up to 0.01 microns) - they penetrate into the lower respiratory tract, then, into the lungs and then remain there, causing cancer due to many years of cell irritation.
The dangers of asbestos were first mentioned in 1900-1910. In 1910, French studies confirmed the harmful effects of asbestos on the human body. In Europe, 400-600 people fall ill with various diseases caused by asbestos (bronchial cancer, lung cancer, mesothelioma, asbestosis) every year. Lung cancer is recognized as an occupational disease of people exposed to asbestos.

APPLICATION OF ASBESTOS
Asbestos-cement products: corrugated cardboard, diamond-shaped panels, flat exterior facade panels, facade panels, hinged and partition walls, roofing, water and sewer pipes;
Waterproofing materials: bituminous binders, putties, paints and varnishes, cleaned road bitumen, primers, roofing materials, floor tiles, filters - contain about 20-40% asbestos;
Products used in insulation: wool, non-woven material, ropes, yarns, heat-insulating fabrics, tapes; used to insulate steam boilers, heat exchangers, reservoirs, pipelines, depending on the purpose, contain from 75 to 100% asbestos
Sealing products: cardboards, braided seals, asbestos-rubber plates. All these products are used for sealing parts that operate at high temperatures, in the environment of chemicals, active gases, lubricants, solvents, exhaust gases;
Friction material products: friction coatings and brake strips used in various types of brakes.
